Take one look at The Tabernacle campus and you know right away that ministering to families with children is a high priority.  Giant play structures and the latest and newest playground equipment make outdoor playtime fun and safe! Two entire wings of our facility are dedicated to teaching children that God loves them and that He has a divine purpose for their lives.   It is worth a visit to The Tabernacle just to let your child experience the incredible life-sized custom artwork depicting Noah's Ark painted on the hallways of our newest children's wing - get a sense of what it must have been like inside the ark with Noah and his family - there are even two tiny lady bugs - your child will have fun trying to find them and discovering all the other critters! With a love for children and a passion to see them come to know Christ at an early age, the children's ministry volunteers are some of the finest the The Tabernacle has to offer.

• Graded Primetime Classes (Sunday School) are offered on Sunday mornings at 9:00.  Teachers and their helpers use a variety of creative tools for teaching the children Bible stories and life application principles. 

• Junior Church takes place during the regular morning service and is designed with children in mind.  Children who are in the 2nd grade and younger get to attend while parents enjoy the morning service.

 

• Children's Choirs meet on Sunday evenings at 5:15.  They meet year round except for their winter break in December and their spring break in May.  They sing with the Adult Choir  & Orchestra on special occasions.  The Praise Kid's is the first through third grade choir and the King's Kids is the fourth through sixth grade choir.  All children's choirs are directed by competent members of the adult music ministry who have music education experience and training.  

 

We offer these programs for children (3 year olds through 8th graders) on Wednesday evenings:

• AWANA  (during the school year)

• Kids In Action (during the summer)

Our nursery and preschool departments are staffed by women only, and all adults who work with our children's ministries go through a thorough background check as well as receive specialized training by our veteran team of teachers.
